I was born in July of 1968 in Fort Bragg, North Carolina. My father was serving in Vietnam at the time and we lived there on the base. I have an older brother and sister, Jim McWilliams Jr. and Vicky Trudel.

   Our family relocated as needed for Dad's service periods until finally settling into Cookeville TN in 1972.  I attended school at Tennessee Tech Pre-school until switching to Capshaw Elementary. I attended 1st grade through 6th, then Cookeville Junior High, then Cookeville Senior High until my junior year. I then transferred to Upperman High School for my junior & senior year. I played baseball for the Bees both years.

   After high school, I attended I.T.T. Technical Institute in Nashville for a 2-year Associate Degree in Electronics. I then worked at Radio Shack in sales and management training for 2 years.

    Seeking more in-depth education, I attended Tennessee Tech University and received both my Bachelor's Degree and Master's Degree in Management Information Systems. While at T.T.U, I was the Awesome Eagle Mascot, a Captain of the Cheerleading Squad and then was appointed as Coach for the squad for my 2 years of Graduate school. I received the Leanord Crawford Memorial Scholarship, the Williams Anderson Lifeguard Scholarship, and 5 Varsity Letter awards.

    During my college years I worked as Head Lifeguard at Echo Valley Pool & the T.T.U. Fitness Center Pool as well as Supervisor for the T.T.U. Fitness Center and Summer Cheer Camps.

   After finishing my Masters Degree in 1997, I joined McWilliams Realty & Auction as an Affiliate Broker and an Auctioneer. I am currently the Principal Auctioneer for the company as well as a Broker for the real estate division.

    My wife's name is Terri and is without a doubt the most beautiful woman in the world. I consider myself lucky to be her husband. We have 2 boys, Taylor James & Ethan Lukas, and a little girl due in October, 2006 whose name will be Lily Kate.

    We live on a small farm (14 acres) in Double Springs, just between Cookeville and Baxter, TN. I enjoy gardening, kayaking the Caney Fork or Center Hill lake.
